American Institute of Monterrey (AIM) is a bilingual (Spanish and English) school located in the northern part of Mexico, 190 kilometers (120 miles) from the Texas border. It offers prekindergarten through grade 12 across three campuses. The school follows an American curriculum.
Early years students learn to read, write, and speak in English, develop numeracy skills, become aware of their environment, and learn about the world around them. Students in grades 1–5 take classes in English and Spanish literacy, numeracy, natural science, technology, social science, physical education, and fine arts. In middle school (grades 6–8), students are introduced to a curriculum centered around the four areas of engineering and technology, business and management, laboratory research, and arts and humanities. During high school (grades 9–12), students take a more in-depth exploration of education to support their preparation for college. They achieve proficiency in the English and Spanish languages, in addition to proficiency in either French or German.
AIM has three campuses: San Pedro Campus for preschool through grade 5, APS Campus for grades 6–12, and Valle Oriente Campus for preschool through grade 9.

Founded in 1928, American School Foundation of Monterrey (ASFM) is a private, secular, nonprofit, and coeducational school. It offers an American-type educational program from nursery through grade 12 for students of all nationalities. As a college-preparatory and US-accredited institution, the school offers both a Mexican and US high school diploma. All instruction is in English, except for Spanish language classes.
The curriculum is similar to that found in US public schools in kindergarten through grade 9. Then in grades 10–12 two courses of study are offered, one leading to the Mexican Bachillerato and the other to the US Diploma. The school is accredited by AdvancED and the state educational authorities in Mexico.
The 21-hectare (52-acre) campus of American School Foundation of Monterrey is located in Huasteca Canyon of Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.
The school is governed by founding members who meet regularly twice a year. They elect a Board of Directors which serves as the school’s board of education. This board is made up of nine regular members and nine alternate members. The regular members serve three-year terms; the alternate members serve one-year terms. The school is incorporated and has tax-exempt status in Mexico and the United States.

Established in 1984, Columbia School (Colegio Columbia) is a bilingual (Spanish and English), coeducational day school. It enrolls students in preschool through grade 9. French is offered as a third language. Students are required to wear a school uniform.
Columbia School is divided into three sections: preschool, primary, and secondary. The curriculum is designed to develop reading, writing, and speaking skills in both Spanish (the native tongue for most students) and English. All instruction in the preschool is in English. At the elementary school level, 60 percent of the academic day is in English and 40 percent takes place in Spanish. Through the B1 Preliminary Cambridge Exam students certify their level of English. In addition, students obtain the Microsoft Office Specialist certification.
Columbia School has two campuses. Poza Rica Campus is home to the school's preschool program. Francita Campus is home to the elementary and secondary programs as well as administrative offices. The school's facilities include a library, auditorium, playground, robotics lab, science lab, information and communication technology centers, and sports facilities.
Columbia School is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Founded in 1970, English School (Colegio Inglés) is a bilingual (Spanish and English) international school. It enrolls students for preschool through middle school. Students are required to wear a school uniform.
The school has developed its own curriculum, which is accredited by the Mexican Secretary of Education and involves significant project-based learning of traditional science and arts subjects. Spanish language arts, social studies, civics, music, physical education, and critical thinking skills are taught in Spanish. As part of the school's bilingual program, it provides English immersion courses in other subjects, including English language arts, mathematics, science, technology, current events, and art.
The school has two campuses. San Agustín Campus is for preschool, kindergarten, and lower elementary. Its facilities include 13 preschool classrooms, six preschool smartboard equipped classrooms, 20 lower elementary smartboard equipped classrooms, two sci-tech labs, two iPad labs, technology lab, preschool smartboard lab, five music rooms, two art rooms, a library, gymnasium, two soccer fields, five basketball courts, cafeteria, and playgrounds.
Encino Campus is for upper elementary and middle school. Its facilities include 18 upper elementary smartboard equipped classrooms, 18 middle school smartboard equipped classrooms, three Spanish smartboard equipped classrooms, five sci-tech labs, six research centers, five multimedia labs, three music rooms, an art room, library/media center, gymnasium, fitness center, soccer field, four basketball courts, and cafeteria.

Founded in 1888, The American School Foundation (ASF) provides an educational program from early childhood (age 3) through grade 12 for students of all nationalities. It is an International Baccalaureate World School offering three IB programs. Instruction is in English, with extensive Spanish options also offered. Bus transportation is available.
ASF is divided into four sections: early childhood center for preschool and kindergarten, lower school for grades 1–5, middle school for grades 6–8, and upper school for grades 9–12. It offers a US college-preparatory curriculum. ASF expects all students to become bilingual. ASF is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to provide its Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program, and Diploma Program. The school is accredited by AdvancED.
The school's 17-acre campus is situated on the west side of Mexico City. Its facilities include administrative offices, the early childhood center, lower school, middle school, upper school, two snack bars, a covered pool, underground bus transportation center, soccer field, other athletic fields, two multipurpose gyms, fine arts center, and wellness center.
The American School Foundation (ASF) is governed by a 16-member Board of Trustees elected for three-year terms by The American School Foundation. Membership in the foundation is open to US citizens living in Mexico. A nominal membership fee is charged. ASF has special agreements with Mexico’s Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), under which students’ studies may be certified in order for them to transfer to other Mexican/Latin American schools and universities. The school has been designated as tax-exempt in the US and Mexico.

The American School Foundation of Guadalajara (ASFG) is a private, coeducational school. It was originally founded in 1908 and reestablished as a not-for-profit organization in 1956. The school offers an educational program from nursery and prekindergarten to grade 12. Instruction is in English and Spanish. The school's mission is to educate students in a bilingual, bicultural, and secular environment to be purposeful learners, critical and creative thinkers, effective communicators, and community contributors based on a foundation of honor, freedom, and commitment. Bus transportation is available.
The American School Foundation of Guadalajara (ASFG) is divided into four sections: early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school. Its curriculum is that of US general academic and college-preparatory public schools and various official Mexican programs. It offers limited support services for students with minor learning disabilities through grade 9. Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) classes are offered at the high school level.
The school's 6-acre campus includes 92 classrooms, six science labs, two libraries/media centers, three art rooms, three music rooms, computer labs, an auditorium, two cafeterias, multipurpose gymnasium, two playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts, running track, soccer field, and swimming pool.
The ASFG Board of Directors has the responsibility to monitor the overall operation of the school and create polices. It is made up of a minimum of six members and maximum of 14 members.
The school is accredited by Cognia, the Secretary of Education of Mexico, and National Autonomous University of Mexico.

The American School of Puerto Vallarta is an independent, nonprofit, nonsectarian, and coeducational institution. It offers a bilingual, bicultural education for students from nursery through grade 12. The school was founded in 1986 by local business leaders intent on offering an American-type education to the children of Puerto Vallarta.
The American School of Puerto Vallarta is divided into three sections: early childhood, primary school (grades 1–6), and middle and high school (grades 7–12). The curriculum is that of general academic private and public schools in the United States and Mexico. Instruction is in English and Spanish. Both English and Spanish are offered as a second language. Strong emphasis is placed on individualized instruction, second language acquisition, cooperative teaching, and individualized study techniques. Nursery, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and transitional first grade are total English immersion programs. In grades 1–6, students are enrolled in the US program half of the day and Mexican program half of the day. In grades 7–12, all instruction is in English except Spanish and Mexican social studies, supplemented by special classes in English and Spanish-as-a-second-language when needed. In addition, there are extensive computer studies, music, art, and physical education classes. High school students are offered both an American high school diploma program and/or the Mexican Preparatoria diploma program.
As of September 2013, there were 38 full-time and 3 part-time faculty members. Enrollment at the beginning of the 2013 - 2014 school year was 322 (N, PK & K: 42; grades 1-6: 148; grades 7-9: 69 and grades 10-12: 63). The school plant consists of seven buildings which house twenty-eight classrooms; two administrative suites, a conference room, a fully equipped infirmary, two full libraries, two science and two computer laboratories, restrooms, storerooms and a cafeteria. The grounds include two cement play patios, three grass-covered sports fields, two basketball courts, a running track, an open theater, and a preschool play area. The school’s property extends to more than seven acres, which is sufficient for future growth and expansion. The school’s operational budget is derived from enrollment and tuition fees. Annual tuition rates during the 2013-2014 school years were as follows: nursery, PK and K: $5,573; grades 1-6: $7,265; grades 7-9: $7,522; grads 10–12: $8,050. Enrollment fee: nursery: $960; PK: $1,099; K: $1,175; grades 1-6: $1,528; grades 7-9: $1,566; grades 10-12: $1,585. New student enrollment fees: nursery-grade 12: $1,538 (All fees are quoted in U.S. Dollars).
The American School of Puerto Vallarta is governed by a five-member school board comprised of parents and interested members of the community. The board has the same responsibilities and authority as private and public school boards in the United States. Members are appointed by a Board of Founders and serve for five years.
The school is accredited AdvancED, the Mexican Ministry of Education, and The National University of Mexico.
